Meet Hannah, LPC
I help overwhelmed high-achievers reconnect with themselves — without the guilt.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with master’s degrees in Forensic & Legal Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I completed my undergraduate degree in Communications with a minor in Psychology at the University of Arizona, and I’m a Nationally Certified Counselor. I’ve pursued additional training in trauma and hold a certificate in Expressive Trauma Integration.
I became a therapist because I’ve always been drawn to helping people make sense of their inner worlds and rebuild a life that feels meaningful and manageable. Early in my career I saw how powerful a compassionate, curious presence could be for someone who felt stuck, invalidated, or overwhelmed — and I wanted to offer that steady presence to others. Therapy, for me, is both a calling and a practice: I bring clinical skills and thoughtful training, and I bring a human who genuinely cares.
I have a personal connection to the biracial and multicultural community. Growing up and working with people from different cultural backgrounds taught me how culture shapes identity, communication, and relationships. That awareness informs my work with multicultural individuals and couples — I help people navigate cultural differences, miscommunications, and identity questions with sensitivity and practical tools.
I’m passionate about working with adults and couples who want to feel heard, validated, and capable again. I often work with multicultural couples trying to bridge misunderstandings, adults making sense of a late ADHD diagnosis, and people burned out from hustle culture. My approach combines empathy with a willingness to gently challenge unhelpful thought patterns. I believe healing happens when we validate your experience, identify the root causes of distress, and build skills to move forward without getting stuck in the past.
I aim to create a warm, conversational space where you can be honest, feel safe, and learn concrete ways to cope and grow. If you’re looking for a therapist who listens deeply and helps you take practical steps toward feeling more grounded and connected, I’d be honored to work with you.
My Approach
I integrate several evidence-based approaches to meet you where you are and help you build the skills and insight needed to move forward.
Expressive Trauma Integration (ETI)
What it is: ETI uses gentle, evidence-based techniques that combine body awareness, mindful attention, and storytelling to help process traumatic memories without re-traumatizing you. We work with sensations, images, and memories to make sense of painful experiences and reduce their emotional charge.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
What it is: CBT helps identify unhelpful thoughts and behaviors and replaces them with more realistic, balanced ways of thinking and acting. We notice patterns in your thinking and behavior, test whether they’re accurate or useful, and try different ways of responding that lead to better outcomes.
Narrative Therapy
What it is: Narrative therapy helps you separate yourself from problems by exploring the stories you tell about your life, then rewriting those stories in ways that reflect your values and strengths. We look at the stories you’ve been living by and find new perspectives that open up choices and possibilities.
Practical skills work (emotion regulation, grounding, and behavioral experiments)
What it is: Concrete tools and exercises to manage strong emotions, stay present, and try out new behaviors safely. You learn doable skills you can use between sessions to feel calmer, more in control, and more effective.
What you can expect in a typical session
We’ll start with a brief check-in about how you’ve been and any immediate concerns.
I’ll ask questions to understand what matters most to you and to clarify what you’d like to change.
Sessions often combine talking, short experiential exercises, and skill-building tailored to your needs.
You can expect a calm, respectful pace; I’ll match the work to what feels manageable and safe for you.
We’ll end by reviewing any skills or experiments to try before the next session and agree on a simple, measurable step to practice.
My goal is to offer clear, practical help that honors your experience and supports steady, sustainable change.
